Revealing Stories Through Art: A Personal Reflection

Hey everyone!

Today, I want to share a glimpse into my world of textured oil painting, impasto wonders, and palette knife art. Let's dive in!

You know, as I uploaded some of my artwork onto my website, I realized it's time to tell their stories. But hey, I don't want to bore you. So here's the deal: each painting has a piece of me in it.

Believe it or not, even when I was cranking out five little paintings at once (they call them studies, by the way), each had its own story. Yep, I painted from photos sometimes, but every scene brought back a moment from my life, shared subconsciously with the world through my brushstrokes.

But here's a question for you and for me: when I share my own story through a not-so-realistic painting, does it stop you from seeing your own experiences in it? Food for thought, right?

Let me tell you a funny story. So, there was this painting I promised to someone, but oops, it got sold to a gallery by mistake. No biggie, I'll paint another. But when I sent it over, they asked, "Where's the woman?" Turns out, only that person saw her, even though she wasn't there. And you know what? Amidst the chaos of my brushstrokes, there are countless characters and tales waiting to be discovered.

So, join me on this artistic adventure, where every stroke tells a story, and chaos breeds creativity.

Until next time,

Olena Leus
